C-glycosylflavones from the aerial parts of Silene colorata

Résumé

Phytochemical investigation of Silene colorata Poir. aerial parts ethanolic extract led to the isolation of two undescribed C-glycosylflavones along with eight knowns compounds. The NMR and MS spectroscopic analysis and their comparison with published data led to the identification of nine C-glycosylflavones : apigenin 6-C-[α-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1-2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, luteolin 6-C-[α-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1-2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, schaftoside, vitexin, isoorientin, vicenin-3, vicenin-1, saponarin, isovitexin and one ecdysterone; integristerone A. The lack of chemical and biological investigations on this plant encouraged us to carry out the above-mentioned work.
