RELATION BETWEEN PARTICULATE CONCENTRATION IN THE ATMOSPHERE AND AEROSOL COLLECTION EFFICIENCY
INFLUENCE DE LA TENEUR EN PARTICULES DE L'ATMOSPHERE SUR L'EFFICACITE DE PIEGEAGE DES AEROSOLS
Résumé
The association of a sampling system such as a cascad impactor and an analytical technique like X‐ray spectrometry allows, in theory, to separate the aerosol in six granulometric classes corresponding to different origines, residence times and toxicity. However, the variation of acmospheric load, in particular for the submicronic particules, may induce, in time, a modification of impaction characteristics and it ends up with mixing of aerosols wich belong to different classes.
