Cardiac Motion Analysis in Tagged MRI

Résumé

Tissue tagging magnetic resonance imaging (TMRI) was especially developed for the analysis of heart motion in the late 1980s. TMRI has been the object of many developments in terms of processing and image analysis such as to permit the local quantification of motion. The SinMod method is a robust alternative to the harmonic phase imaging (HARP) method which is at the base of a software for integrated analysis of tagged MR images available in the form of a plugin for the software OsiriX, referred to as inTag. The SinMod method employs the specific configuration of tagged images and the bi-directional modulation of the intensity. The inTag software enables a quick quantified analysis of the motion. It can be freely used in the framework of a scientific convention in which the user commits himself to contribute to the enrichment of a database of healthy subjects.
