Protein Kinase CK2 Acts as a Molecular Brake to Control NADPH Oxidase 1 Activation and Colon Inflammation
Résumé
Protein kinase CK2 is a major partner of NOXO1 in human colon epithelial cells; it directly binds and phosphorylates NOXO1 to decrease ROS generation by NOX1. In TNBSinduced colitis, the decrease in CK2 activity results in increased ROS production, thereby exacerbating inflammation.
