Today, the rigorous and coherent preservation and curation of research data is a major challenge for the scientific process. Guided by the 'National plan for Open Science', the different research entities and the institutes of the CNRS are working on these important questions and develop tools, methods and infrastructure that meet the needs of the scientific community for the curation of scientific data.
To this effect, guidelines and advice for the curation of data for researchers have been developed in January 2021 and are available here.
On an international level, the Research Data Alliance, an organisation comprising more than 10000 members in 145 countries across the globe, works towards solutions that allow scientists to share and exchange data in a way that guarantees interoperability and reusability. More about their work can be found here.
